Bera is a town situated in the province of Navarre, northern Spain. The town is traversed by the river Bidasoa before it enters Gipuzkoa at Endarlatsa, eventually flowing into the Cantabrian Sea between the towns of Hendaye and Hondarribia. The historic 18th Century building Hotel Churrut is located within the picturesque village Vera de Bidasoa-Bera - the family Churrut home exudes period charm providing a comfortable tranquil stay. The Junior suite offers the balcony overlooking the garden and the spectacular Basque Pyrenees mountains also furnished a comfortable King size bed and spacious bath/shower room. The Churrut Family Hotel personnel provided friendly helpful attentive service ensuring we felt special during our stay. Breakfast 0800-1000hrs was a sumptuous Spanish Buffet of local and home-made produce served in the sun-room overlooking the garden and the hotel restaurant set in the old blacksmith's workshop, serving traditional Navarin specialities.

Few minutes from border on route to UK. In the village but quite location. Church behind hotel but no bells in night. Good parking, outside space & gardens. Originally old fortress with beams etc & beautiful maintained as a classic vintage hotel. Friendly & helpful staff. Samuel & Agur on reception & the breakfast lady thank you, all good 👍 Beautiful room with balcony. Comfortable bed. No noise. A bit warm & it was March. But we did have the sun all day on balcony to warm the room. Don’t think any aircon for guests in summer. Good shower over bath, TV, chargeable mini bar. Very clean.

This place is highly recommended. We stayed at Churrut for 3 nights. The hotel has a very pleasant atmosphere, with a somewhat dated but very characteristic interior. The breakfast and the diners were of an excellent quality. The hotel staff proved very helpful in getting us the best room available. During our last night in the hotel we experienced a false fire alarm. To compensate us for this the hotel gave us a considerable reduction on the agreed tariff and costs for meals. The hotel staff is to be complemented for this!

The staff was exceptional. I had hiked my way from Irun to Bera and during the hike I got bit by a dog. Upon arrival at the Hotel Churrut, The staff called the local medical facility and coordinated a taxi to bring me there and return. When I returned from the medical facility they provided some food because at that time all of the restaurants and stores were closed. I am very grateful for their service and support. The room was clean comfortable. I would stay there again.

We were in a suite, which was lovely. Well appointmented, nice views, lovely paintings and bathroom was large and nice. Views from all windows overlooking the village, the gardens. Close to restaurants and bars. Their restaurant was very good. Breakfast was good. Staff were friendly and lovely . Remember to book their restaurant if you are there on weekends as it gets very busy.
